Worship Music to Add to Your Sunday Setlist

We all know those kids on Sunday morning who jump up at the first chance to lead the hand motions during large group worship. Well, I was that child growing up. Musical worship was and still is my jam. Even now as an adult I still can sing the books of the Bible and rap about Joseph being sold into slavery (I know, it’s pretty legit).

I don’t know about you but hearing kids sing praise to the Lord is such a sweet sweet sound, even if there are times they don’t know the difference between singing and screaming. Not only are you teaching the kids in your ministry that signing songs is one of the many ways we can praise and worship God, music is also one of the easiest ways to help children memorize scripture. Most of the time, music is used in a large group environment, but what about the check-in space, small group rooms, or nursery rooms? Music can be crucial to making your space inviting and full of life.

When it comes to adding music to your large group time, there are so many options to choose from. I’ve pulled together some of the most well loved kids worship artists and companies that are producing amazing worship music for your Sunday mornings.

I’ve created a few different lists so you can find exactly what you are looking for. There is Elementary & Preschool, Nursery, and songs to help you memorize scripture. I’ve also created Spotify playlists so all you have to do is play the playlist on Sunday morning—it’s that easy!

Preschool & Elementary

  • Orange Music: Orange Music has great music, well produced music videos and everything you need to use this music with a live band (sheet music, dance instruction videos & performance tracks)

  • Lifeway Kids Worship: If you use the Lifeway VBS or Gospel Project Curriculum, you will love their CDs. They also have a full collection of choral books if you organize a children’s choir.

  • Yancy Ministries: Yancy is well loved in the Kids Ministry world. She has engaging music for Elementary & Preschool kids on Sunday mornings and a plan on how to stream it to families all over. She also has a Spanish CD!

  • Hillsong Kids: Their collection includes great options for upbeat songs, slow songs and songs to help kids memorize scripture. They even have a Hillsong Kids Jr. that is lullabies—perfect for a nursery room!

  • Kids on the Move: This was created out of the Church on the Move and provides music resources and so much more. I linked their YouTube channel as that is where their hand motion and story videos live.

  • Big Big Worship: A worship album with some great hits! They also have a great YouTube channel full of resources.

  • Austin Stone Worship: Their kids album, Only Jesus, is perfect for your Elementary kids and all of their hand motion videos can be downloaded to play in your large group.

Toddlers & Nursery

  • Ellie Holcomb: Her album, Sing: Creation Songs, is so fun! Her two kids albums have matching book and is perfect for your littlest large groups.

  • Christy Nockels: She has two really great lullaby albums that will bring life to any nursery room.

  • BSF Kids: These songs were created by the people of Bible Study Fellowship.

Songs to Help You Sing Scripture

  • The Village Kids: these scriptures are the monthly memory verses used in The Village Kids ministry. Bonus if they align with some of the memory verses in your ministry.

  • Seeds Family Worship: They have albums and albums full of scripture songs. I bet you can find one that matches your monthly memory verse and it is the perfect way to get littles to hide God’s Word in their hearts.

Looking for media & other hand motions?

  • KidzMatter: They are WAY more than just a place to find worship lyric videos, but they do have a ton of worship videos to choose from

  • WorshiphouseKids: This is the perfect hub for worship videos, hand motion videos, slide backgrounds, tracks, and more to make your large group even better!
